Principal’s Message

August 2020

Dear All-Star Students & Parents,

It is with excitement that I officially WELCOME you to the  2020 – 2021 school year.   Virtually, Ashe will focus on ensuring that every child makes progress in reading and math.  The Ashe staff looks forward to connecting with your child each day from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for online learning.  For your convenience another schedule for your grade level is attached.  Please be mindful that times may be adjusted as needed but we will communicate any changes with you.  We encourage you to partner with us to help your child have an awesome year.  You will be able to connect with us through email, phone, class dojo, twitter, Facebook and our school website.

We are a school that intends to grow leaders each day, therefore we embed 7 leadership habits in all our behavioral expectations.  We are committed to ensuring that our virtual classroom environment is safe, efficient and supportive so that all students feel valued and motivated to be their personal best. The All-Star teachers make all the difference, but we need your help in setting up a space for quality virtual learning!  Together we will ensure an outstanding academic experience for every child.  We look forward to seeing your student online each day of school.

PK – 5th grade virtual orientation is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2020.  You will receive further notification about specific times and log on procedures to visit your child’s individual virtual classroom.   Parents, please make sure you have turned in all necessary documentation to the office for complete registration.  On, Thursday, September 17 @ 6:00 PM all parents are invited for a virtual Back to School Night & Title I Orientation to hear important information for the school year, so please mark your calendars.

Please note that class assignments may be adjusted through mid-September as a result of enrollment and staffing changes this school year.  You may view your child’s grades and teacher assignment in the Parent Portal of PowerSchool for all students in grades K through 5 on August 17th.
